WMD - Subway
- Order number: 220413
- Depth: 38
WMD's Subway is a simple but very versatile 8-way crossfading-switch module.
Subway has eight inputs for control voltages or audio between which can be crossfaded, or mixed back and forth with a rotary pot or CV. The eight inputs are connected via 7 crossfaders, so you can scan through all inputs smoothly. Each channel also has a manual on/off switch. The final mix is available at the output.
Applications range from creating morphing waveforms from simple waveforms, complex modulations from multiple CV sources, to a simple waveform selector for oscillators with multiple outputs.
For example, you can create completely new sounds by combining several signals and cycling through the inputs in audio rate. Or you can apply precisely set CV voltages to the inputs to be able to select them on demand.

Features:
- 8 inputs for CV and audio
- Manual on/off switches per channel
- Morphing by rotary potentiometer or CV control
- Limited to 600 pieces
- digitally controlled analog signal path that operates at 48kHz
Controls:
- Scan Knob: control which input is going into the output. Knob becomes offset when CV is applied to Scan CV input.
- Enable Switches: Control which input is active. Off LED means the input is removed from the output selection. Dim LED means the input is active, but not yet selected. Bright LED means the input is currently being sent to the output.
- Curves: Subway has three different curves if you hold buttons 1-3 on startup and then release. Button 1 sets linear, Button 2 sets exponential, and Button 3 sets equal power.
