Video Headroom Systems RGBSCAN — Triple Voltage-Controlled Video Scanner with Rotating RGB Normalisation
RGBSCAN is a triple video scanner for moving continuously between several sources rather than simply switching from one to the next. Each channel scans across three inputs under manual or CV control, making it useful for morphing between images, shapes, key signals and other video-rate material. You can think of each channel as the video equivalent of an interpolating scanner from the audio world.
One nice trick is the rotating normalisation between the three input rows. Patch an RGB signal into the top row and the rows below receive the same colour channels shifted by one position, allowing the scanners to create animated colour rotations from a single set of connections. Patching the lower inputs breaks the normalisation for independent use.
With some nifty CV patching it's also possible to chain its three channels into a single massive seven-input scanner. RGBSCAN combines smooth scanning between video signals with internal routing designed for animated colour transformations.
Features:
- Three independent three-input video scanners
- Continuous crossfading between neighbouring signals
- Manual and voltage-controlled scanning
- Rotating RGB normalisation between input rows
- Lower inputs override the internal routing
- Three individual scanner outputs
- Channels can be chained into a seven-input scanner
- LZX Gen3 power backpack with ribbon-cable or DC-barrel power options
- Power cable not included
