Tiptop Audio - Buchla Mixer/Preamplifier Model 207t
- Order number: 230579
- Depth: 28
The 207t mixer and preamplifier is a Buchla classic and sums your audio signals on 6 channels.
207t offers 6 channels, with control over the panorama, as well as free assignment of the channels to two different outputs. Channels 1 and 6 have no potentiometer for panorama adjustment, but a CV input for automatic dizziness generation via LFO. If no control voltage is present, channel "A" is routed to the left output and channel "F" to the right output. By increasing the control voltage at the corresponding inputs, the signals are also distributed to the other output channel. The two LEDs under each control voltage input indicate to which channel the signal is routed.
The underlying level faders are non-linear and can distort your audio signals in a very nice way.
The switches then allow you to direct your signals to one of the two stereo outputs. The blue Prog switch goes to the main output at the top, and the yellow Mon switch goes to the monitor output. Feedback patches, or fine audio routing with two different mixes are a breeze.
Finally, the 207t has an input for external audio signals, which the preamp boosts to the desired level. Two gain settings will get even the quietest signals from a microphone into your Eurorack quickly and easily. The 207t's preamp sounds very nice and captures the sound of the original well.
An old classic that transports flexible and easy-to-understand Eurorack mixing into your system.

Originally based in California and now operating from Thailand, Tiptop has been around for over a decade, providing some of the first effects in eurorack (Z5000), a whole line of 808 and 909 drum modules, clever sequencers and affordable cases. Their Z-DSP is probably one of the best effect modules available, with countless exchangeable cards.
