NSX is a dynamic Gate Out expander complementing Rabid Elephant's Nexus Seq
While you can also create gates with "just" the Nexus, this expander frees the out of Nexus from such mundane duties. Same as Nexus is no ordinary Sequencer, NXS has some tricks built in.
The NSX expands Nexus with 4 gate outputs and 2 CV inputs to modulate the amplitude of the gates (aka Dynactrl). Two of the gate outputs are simple on/off gates that respond to key presses in the MN/PQ section. The upper two gate outputs use the N and P channels of the Nexus Seq to set the gate length per note. This makes it possible to create new rhythms with just the turn of a knob! With any CV into the Dynactrl Ins you can additionally modulate the amplitude of these gates. Sounds terribly simple. Is mighty effective!
