µSt is based on the open source project Nearness by Jesper Särnesjö with seven inputs and two outputs. Above and below are the two outputs. Depending on the selected input jack, the signal is distributed with ascending amplitude to the output jacks. In other words, the closer the output jack is to an input jack, the higher the level on that output and correspondingly quieter the level on the other output. The circuit is DC-coupled and can also be used for control voltages.
