Ana 2 is the logical sequel to the long-gone Logic Module by Mystic Circuits.
Ana 2 is a small Eurorack module that can make two signals interact in 9 different ways.
Input-wise, there are three inputs for each of the two signals. The first one is the regular audio input, with the knob acting as an attenuator. Trun right for the positive (original) signal, and left for the inverted version. The multiply input controls the attenuverter. So, it can handle VCA typical tasks, but also ring modulation. If you plug something into the last sum input, it will be added to your original signal. If nothing is patched, an offset is internally available.
Of course, you can plug an audio signal into all inputs or have fun with classic gates and Boolean logic just as well.
Ana 2 has a total of 9 outputs, all simultaneously usable. I won't explain each of the outputs here, but you can be sure that everything has been thought of. There's Boolean logic, a mixer, something similar to a wavefolder, and more! It's best to check the extensive manual for a precise impression.
Ana 2 wraps up complicated logic in a logical format that's fun and encourages experimentation.
Features:
- Inputs for up to 6 signals
- MIN - Minimum: Outputs the lowest voltage between both inputs
- MIX - Mixture: Mixes both input channels together
- MAX - Maximum: Outputs the highest voltage between the two inputs
- XOR - Exclusive OR: Analog XOR operation, behaves like a through-zero clipper
- CUT - Bizarre Non-Linear Waveshaper: Circuit that acts like a blend of a wavefolder and a crossfader
- MAG - Amplitude: Outputs the difference between the two inputs
- STEP - Track and Hold: Random voltage processor, similar to other smooth/stepped random generators
- SWAP - Switch: Switch for two inputs, toggles between both inputs
- BOX - Comparator: Three-stage square wave based on both inputs
