Digital, dual channel phase shifter module with 6, 12 or 24 stages per channel. You can use the module as two independent phaser units or as a stereo phaser. It's possible to control both the phase shift and feedback with voltages
It is only possible with digital methods to create a clean phaser with so many stages because in analog domain it gets noisy pretty soon. The two phasers can be cascaded for achieveing a very deep phaser with 48 stages!
The effect is created by a chain of all pass filter that let pass all frequencies but alter their phase. This results in a comb filter effect with notches and peaks in the frequency spectrum that get stronger with higher feedback and hence the phaser effect as well.The Modcan Dual Phasee feqtues two identical phase shifters each with 6, 12 or 24 stages (= all pass fiters). The phase shift and the feedback can be controlled with voltages with +/-5V.
The module is a high qality unit with 48kHz and 16 Bit and a frequency range of 20Hz to 20kHz. Clipping LEDs show distortion.
