Malstrom - Arkan Dual Voltage Polarizer

Malstrom Arkan is a dual voltage polarizer with CV modulation curvature control.

Arkan can be used like a standard VCA and allows to invert a signal when modulated with a negative voltage. This gives interesting movements to the modulations.

Its main feature that distinguishes it from other Voltage Polarizers is the Curvature Control, which is more commonly known from unipolar VCAs. In audio, Arkan works as a ring modulator with four controls to change tonality. Boost adds odd harmonics (symmetrical distortion), and offset adds even harmonics (asymmetrical distortion).

Two identical channels of carefully selected functions make Arkan a hot contender for modulation tasks such as mixing, scaling, inverting and offsetting, as well as CV modulation, feedback patching and waveshaping. A versatile tool that will find its place in any rack.
