Larix Elektro Dual Undula Oscillator — Dual Analog Complex Oscillator, Folder, VCA & Mid-Side Processor, Also Hackable for DIYers!
The Dual Undula Oscillator from French maker Larix Elektro is an analog complex oscillator built around two sine-core VCOs, two wavefolders, two bipolar VCAs, an LFO, and an AD envelope. That's plenty of architecture for one module! The interesting part here is that each oscillator is essentially also a controlled feedback loop — closely related to a filter circuit. Dial back the oscillation and the VCO becomes a resonant filter that accepts external audio. Dial it forward and the sine saturates into something thicker. This dual nature runs through the whole design. The bipolar VCAs double as low-resolution ring modulators, and a front-panel switch flips them into a Mid-Side stereo processor. Everything is internally normaled but still fully patchable, so you can use it as a self-contained voice or spread its functions across a larger system.
The module is also deliberately DIY-friendly. Rear jumpers, PCB access points, and through-hole capacitors invite you to reconfigure signal routing, swap component values, or expand I/O with Larix Elektro's companion modules. Raw, deep, open-ended — a proper analog toolkit for those who appreciate circuits that blur the line between oscillator and filter; very interesting stuff!
