Intellijel's Deceptively Small MEMS Mic 1U – Pocket-Sized Omni With Flat-Response Ready for Sampling Duties From the Tile Row
A big-sounding Eurorack microphone in a neat 1U package — perfect for pulling voice, instruments, room tone, field recordings, or straight-up feedback shenanigans into your patch. It’s based on MEMS tech (the tiny, flat-response mic type used in many modern devices), so the result is clean, even, and surprisingly wide-band for something this compact.
It's essentially identical to the MEMS Mic 3U, except there's a knob instead of a slider for the level control. There’s still CV control for output level, and when you patch CV, the knob acts as an attenuator so you can set the modulation depth rather than fighting the base gain. A fixed low-cut switch helps keep rumble under control before it hits your mix, and the activity/overload LEDs make gain staging painless.
Use one for quick sampling and texture grabs, or run two for stereo recordings — placement matters, so spacing them in your case can actually become part of the “stereo recipe”. Tiny mic, very usable results!
