The DISENTANGLER is a compact 4HP Eurorack module for optimising and refining the stereo image through mid-side processing.

The module serves both as a mid-side encoder/decoder as well as a stereo width control, ideal for subtly enhancing stereo sources or creating immersive effects. The Width fader allows you to scale a regular stereo signal from a mono sum to an extended ‘double-width’ stereo field, making the DISENTANGLER a versatile partner for stereo oscillators or an effective end-of-chain tool for stereo voices, effects and submixes. There are also interesting applications for mono signals - read the manual for some patch tips!

Beyond simply adjusting the width, the DISENTANGLER opens the door to creative audio processing with separate mid and side inputs and outputs that can be patched with other modules. With this setup, you can process only the centre or the sides of the stereo field to apply individual effects such as compression, ducking or filtering. The DC-coupled I/O also supports CV manipulation and allows complex CV recombination based on sum and difference signals.
