(Organic Audio) Hosa MIT-129 — Proper Impedance Matching for Contact Mics and Instruments
The Hosa MIT-129 is an impedance transformer that connects high-impedance instruments to microphone inputs. For instance, It works great with the Cjossul contact microphone — exactly what you need for optimal low-frequency response when connecting to mic-level inputs. The difference in bass detail is immediately noticeable. It matches output impedances around 50 kOhms to input impedances of 200 Ohms.
Without proper impedance matching, you lose low frequencies and introduce noise. The MIT-129 solves this by transforming the signal correctly. Metal construction with a 1/4" jack on one end and XLR male on the other.
Features:
- Connects Cjossul V2 or other Hi-Z instruments to microphone inputs
- Maximizes signal fidelity when using impedance-mismatched gear
- Improved low frequency response
- Eliminates noise and hum caused by an impedance mismatch
- Impedance transformer: 50 kOhms to 200 Ohms
- Metal construction
- Connectors: 6.35mm jack to XLR3M
