Frequency Central Wonderland — 8x8 Active Matrix Patchbay with Normal and Inverted Outputs for Audio and CV
Frequency Central's Wonderland is an 8x8 active patchbay, matrix mixer and switcher for Eurorack. Any of its eight inputs can be sent to any of its eight outputs with the push-button matrix, making it useful for routing audio, CV, modulation sources, feedback paths or whole little sub-patches without pulling the system apart every time.
Each routed signal appears at both a normal output and an inverted output, both buffered, so every connection gives you two versions to work with: in phase and 180 degrees flipped. That makes Wonderland great for modulation patching, stereo-ish variations, subtractive CV tricks and slightly unruly feedback networks. The buffered outputs also keep things stable when you're multing one input across several destinations or building feedback paths. The input levels are handled by small screwdriver-adjustable micro-attenuators, which is great if you need to tame clipping when you sum several inputs into one output.
This is a practical matrix hub for larger patches — especially when signals need to be copied, mixed, inverted and redirected without adding a forest of extra utilities.
Features:
- 8x8 active patchbay / matrix mixer / switcher
- Works with audio and control voltages
- Eight inputs, each with screwdriver-adjustable micro-attenuator for setting levels and avoiding clipping when summing
- Eight buffered normal outputs, in phase with the inputs
- Eight buffered inverted outputs, 180° out of phase
- 64 push on / push off routing switches
- One input can be routed to one or multiple outputs
- Multiple inputs can be routed to one or multiple outputs
- Patched signals appear at normal and inverted outputs simultaneously
- Useful for routing, mixing, signal duplication, inversion and feedback patching
