Flame Takt is an eight-track rhythm sequencer that has extensive live sequencing options and can be controlled via 4 external distance sensors.
Sequencing can be performed in two different ways in looper mode. On the one hand, note repeats can be fired via the SHOTS function or the buttons or distance sensors can be triggered in a quantized way. In step sequencer mode, a "classic" input is made with the option to edit later. The patterns can be up to 4 bars long; 4 patterns and a fill pattern are a scene of which a total of 30 can be stored.
The four distance sensors, which can always trigger 4 tracks at the same time, can be found in 4 included 2HP modules, which are connected to Takt via an included 6-pin ribbon cable and can be placed in a location of your choice in your system.
Due to its 4 LFOs, Takt has extensive modulation options at its disposal: Various waveforms, phase, amplitude, speed and the output voltage, among others, provide a high degree of modulation fun. The latter can be either unipolar or bipolar (0..+5v or +/-5v) and attenuated via AMP with built-in VCA, so that the outputs are also compatible with modules that aren't equipped with an attenuator on the input side.
On the connection side, in addition to the MIDI or clock options (in and out respectively), user-defined inputs as well as user-defined outputs for LFO 1-4 and 8 gate/trigger or velocity or modulation CV outputs each can be found on the upper side of the device.
Features:
- Rhythm sequencer with performance-oriented approach for Eurorack and control via 4 distance sensors
- 8 tracks with output of gate/trigger signals and velocity to separate outputs or via MIDI
- Pattern length of up to 4 bars (including shuffle, quantize, track shift, track link, hold, mute and variation)
- I/O-connections: MIDI(3,5mm), Clock, Reset, User 1+2 input, LFO 1-4 outputs
- Outputs: 8x Gate/Trigger, 8x Velocity-CV/Modulation-CV
- Additional MIDI-Out and MIDI-Thru (DIN format) on the back of the module
- USB port for firmware updates
- 4 sensors included as 2TE modules with 6-pin ribbon cable
