The Expert Sleepers ES-8 is a USB 2.0 class-compliant audio interface with DC-coupled inputs and outputs that can be used for both CVs and audio
It is directly compatible with all popular computer-based CV generation software as well as audio and CV processing iOS apps. The module also has ADAT inputs & outputs which could be used to expand the output count or to connect a traditional audio interface.
The ES-8 by Expert Sleepers is compatible with software like Silent Way, Max/MSP, Reaktor, CV Toolkit, zMors etc. and can also communicate with iOS applications.
Four inputs and eight outputs (3.5mm sockets) are available. being DC-coupled they are compatible both with audio and CVs.
In total the ES-8 offers twelfe input and sixteen output channels.
An expander header located on the PCB allows for connection an ES-5, to which in turn you can connect gate, CV and MIDI expanders from the ESX series, creating a very powerful system.
The optival Toslink sockets are ADAT connectors, one input and one output. Using them you can conenct an ES-3 and/or an ES-6 in order to expand the module by more outputs. Otherwise it would be possible to use the ADAT connectors with an audio interface, adding 1/4" line inputs, microphone pre-amplifiers etc.
The module works internally with a high quality clock but it can be synchronized optionally to the ADAT input signal. The sampling rate is selectable between 44.1kHz, 48kHz, 88.2kHz or 96 kHz.
