LINK 25 is a passive, bi-directional bridge between eight Eurorack patch points and a single analog DB-25 connection using the TASCAM/AES59 standard. That makes it a neat way to move four stereo pairs or eight mono channels between your modular system and an audio interface, mixer or recorder without running a small forest of individual cables across the studio. The direction is entirely up to you: send modular voices out for multitrack recording, bring line outputs back into the rack, or put a LINK 25 in two cases and carry eight channels between them over one multicore cable.

There is no active level conversion or amplification going on here — the signal path is passive and DC-coupled, with each channel electrically independent. The module also comes with both a 4HP 3U panel and a 22HP Intellijel-format 1U panel, and both can be flipped so the DB-25 cable exits in whichever direction makes more sense for your case. A simple piece of routing kit that makes multichannel connections between rack and studio gear far less messy.

Important notes:

• Analog audio DB-25 only: Do not connect LINK 25 to TDIF, AES3/AES-EBU digital, Yamaha-wired or computer DB-25 ports.
• Never apply phantom power: Use analog line-level connections only. Do not connect LINK 25 to microphone inputs while phantom power is enabled.
• One source per channel: Because the signal path is passive, never connect active outputs to both ends of the same channel. LINK 25 is not a summing mixer.
