Elektron - Syntakt

The Syntakt is the latest device of the Swedish music nerds Elektron and comes with a full 8 digital FM voices and 4 analog voices, in the familiar and beautiful small form of the Digi machines (Digitakt & Digitone).

After the rumor mill in the Elektronauts forum, the much awaited Syntakt is finally here. It calls itself a "12 Track Drum Computer & Synthesizer" and by that gives away pretty well what is possible with it. The 8 digital tracks give access to all kinds of great digital machines and allow great FM drums and synthesizer sounds. The 4 analog tracks offer all machines known from the Analog Rytm (&and more?). All in all, this little box contains more than 30 machines, all of which can be fine-tuned and thus leave no sound wish unfulfilled.

With 12 sequencer tracks for each of the internal machines and the MIDI tracks, the electron-style sequencer can add an incredible amount of movement to your sounds. The FX track with delay and reverb can be freely assigned to the internal machines as well as external audio signals by internal routing. Last but not least, there are 4 modulation tracks, with retriggering, velocity and two freely selectable modulations Mod A and Mod B.

The Syntakt looks great between Digitone and Digitakt, but also stands up very well on its own. A great machine for those who want to get started with hardware, or are already deep into it.
