The Doepfer A-142-5v is a compact yet versatile dual envelope and LFO generator in a 1U format.
It can also be used as an A/D LFO, either manually switched or via a gate applied to the VCL input - perfect for complex modulations in any Eurorack system! Whether as a classic envelope generator for filters or VCAs, as an LFO for vibrato-like effects, or as a creative modulation tool.
Features:
- Two independent envelope generators with a loop toggle switch to switch between envelope and LFO modes
- Manual decay control per unit (2 ms to 2 seconds)
- Normed trigger inputs (1→2) for synchronous triggering
- VCL input (Voltage Control Loop): An external control signal (starting at +3.5 V) switches the module to LFO mode
- Attack time per channel can be adjusted internally via a trimmer potentiometer (1 ms to 15 ms, factory setting: ~3 ms)
- Trigger in LFO mode: Superimposition of the envelope and LFO for creative, rhythmic modulations
- Output: Envelope/LFO signal (peak value: ~+10 V) with visual indication via LED
