Doepfer A-100 Bus Board V6
- Order number: 190678
Bus board for connecting a maximum of 22 Eurorack modules. LEDs indicate whether the correct supply voltages (+12V / -12V / +5V) are present. Four cables for connection to the power supply unit are included in the scope of delivery. The new version of the A-100 bus boards (labeled Version 6 / 2019) uses tub pin headers that are equipped with reverse polarity protection in the form of a recess for the "nose" of the socket on the bus connection cable.
Since January 2016 the bus board is delivered with four connecting cables. For that reson it's compatible with the new switching power supply PSU3, which carries four secondary voltages (+12V, +5V, -12V and ground [GND]).
Of course it is also possible to connect this bus board with three cables only to older Doepfer power supplies which don't generate +5V.
WIth a long trajectory building synths, MIDI keyboards and designing bespoke devices for music pioneers Kraftwerk, Dieter Doepfer decided to design his own modular synthesizer in 1995 based on existing electrical and mechanical specifications of lab equipment he used during his years at university. The official presentation of the system at 1996 Frankfurt Musikmesse caught everyone by surprise and created lots of interest. After Doepfer published the specifications on his website, many instrument designers and engineers saw the potential of the new Eurorack format. Doepfer continues expanding their catalog of over 200 modules (and counting), operating from their modest offices in the outskirts of Munich.
