The Gain+Sum adds 8 channels of summing, gain control, and channel management to the ER system by CB Electronics.
The ER system enables precise routing of audio and CV signals. At the heart of it all is the Processor, which can control up to 16 expanders. The Gain+Sum brings 8 inputs and 8 outputs to the table, along with a dedicated sum output.
Compared to the Patch modules, it might have fewer ins and outs, but Gain+Sum has a few tricks up its sleeve that the Patch modules can only dream of. Through the Processor, you can control three separate master groups with any kind of routing, summing, volume levels, and channel mutes. Thanks to DC coupling, it works just as well for audio as it does for CV, and with a gain range from -96 to +22 dB, you can process virtually any signal through the ER system.
