Buchla U.S.A. - 291e Triple Morphing Filter
Module 291e is a triple bandpass filter. The filters can not only be controlled manually and by CV in Amplitude, Bandwidth and Frequency. All settings can be assigned to one of eight stages and recalled or sequenced. For each parameter, you can set whether it jumps from stage to stage or is gently interpolated. A mix output for all filters in parallel operation, as well as the ability to receive up to three synthesizer voices including sequencers through feedback, is ingenious.
The module consists of three identical bandpass filters. Amplitude, Bandwidth and Frequency can be adjusted per filter and controlled via CV. The amplitude settings refer only to the signals at the mix output. All parameters can be stored in eight stages, which can be switched, soft interpolated or morphed. Additional audio inputs for filters A, B, C or all filters allow audio (rate) modulation of the parameters "Amplitude", "Bandwidth" and "Frequency" in any combination.
In combination with the Preset Manager of the 206e and 225e modules, all parameters can be saved and recalled.
