Bitwig - Connect 4/12

The Connect 4/12 is a comprehensive audio interface from Bitwig that combines multiple studio functions in one compact device. This unit serves as an audio interface, monitor controller, and DAW controller, making it a practical centerpiece for both hardware and software-based production setups.

At the center of this controller is a high-resolution touch-sensitive dial surrounded by 32 RGB LEDs that provides visual feedback on selected parameters. In Bitwig mode, this dial offers direct control over DAW functions—simply hover over any parameter on screen, double-tap to select it, and adjust away…! The LED ring displays the color of your selected track or parameter, practical! You’ll also find the basic DAW-functions for play, stop, rec, loop, metronome etc. which is always nice to have at hand.

What you don't usually come across on this type of monitor controller are all the CV connectivity options. Two DC-coupled inputs and four outputs via front-panel mini-jacks allow direct connection between modular equipment and Bitwig Studio. These connections come factory-calibrated for accurate pitch tracking and can alternatively function as additional audio I/O when needed.

Audio quality is excellent throughout, featuring AKM converters at up to 192kHz/24-bit resolution, a clean mic preamp, and balanced connections. What’s more, this unit is bus-powered via USB-C, eliminating the need for external power supplies and making it extra suitable for mobile use. If you're already a Bitwig user and on the hunt for a new interface, possibly with some CV-equipped devices at hand, then this is a no-brainer.
