Multi-Track Inside the Rack — ALM’s Stem Ripper Captures Eight Channels Straight to an SD Card
The Stem Ripper is ALM’s answer to the “I wish I’d recorded that” moment. It’s a straightforward, no-fuss way to capture every channel of your patch directly inside the rack — no audio interface, no computer, no extras.
With eight inputs, each feeding its own track, the module writes directly to a microSD card as a multichannel WAV file. A fixed stereo mix is also stored alongside, ready for quick listening or reference. Thanks to its large 20Vpp headroom and clear clip LEDs, it can handle hot modular levels while keeping distortions firmly at bay.
Recording length is only limited by your SD card, and a 64 GB card is included to get you going. The date-stamped file names make it easy to keep track of sessions. There’s an optional 2HP Thru expander — it simply mirrors the eight inputs to a set of unbuffered outputs, saving you from the mess of stackcables.
Compact and skiff-friendly, Stem Ripper makes documenting and revisiting your best patches pretty effortless.
