Random and bursts? Steps offers a lot of them on a small footprint.
Steps consists of three function blocks:
The internal clock controls the clock output.
The burst generator generates eight pulses on each trigger, one gate high during the burst and one gate high at the end of the burst.
The stepped random CV generator works in conjunction with the burst generator and the R.Gate output can be used either as a randomly stepped CV source or as an 8 step CV repeat source.
When STEPS is first switched on, the module must be operated in RAND mode for at least 8 steps to fill the shift register with data.
A caveat to STEPS:
If a trigger is received outside the clock of the internal clock, the duration of the first step is shortened.
