Light Rail - The Case to Case Connection.
After Later Audio's Light Rail replaces cable spagetti between Eurorack cases with a single network cable. This two-module system transmits eight channels of CV or audio signals via standard CAT7e cables.
The setup is straightforward: mount one Light Rail module in each case, connect them with the included shielded cable, and start patching. All eight channels work bidirectionally by default - letting signals flow freely between both modules.
A smart buffered mode allows four channels on each module to work as multiples. When activated, you get a local copy of your signal while still sending it to the other module. The remaining four channels continue to work bidirectionally.
The use of shielded CAT7e ethernet cables is a rather elegant solution to how you would go about connecting two cases with minimal clutter.
Features:
- Two modules for case-to-case connection
- Eight bidirectional channels
- Buffered multiple mode for 4 channels per side
- Uses standard CAT7e network cables
- Minimal cross-talk
- 4HP per module
