After Later Audio - DVCA (Veils)
- Order number: 220479
The DVCA is a dual VCA from After Later Audio, which was modeled after the flexible Mutable Instruments Veils.
As we all know, you can never have enough VCAs, be it for voltage-controlled control of the volume of audio signals or the modulation intensity of CV sources. The slim DVCA has two of them on board, offering a mixing function and smoothly crossfading their behavior from linear to exponential.
All two channels are identical in design, each like a usual VCA with signal input, signal output and CV input. The pot is either manual gain control or an attenuator once a cable is plugged into the CV input.
The special feature of the DVCA is that the characteristic of each VCA is continuously variable from exponential to linear with a small knob. The inputs are DC-coupled and accept CV signals or audio.
The outputs of the channels are cascaded from left to right and are mixed, meaning that DVCA can also be a voltage-controlled mixer for two signals. DVCA can be expanded by connecting further DVCA modules via the single pins mounted on the back. They are mounted on the left and right side of the module (one as IN, one as OUT) and can be connected by jumpers if the modules are mounted directly next to each other. This way you can build a very flexible mono mixer. If a greater distance between the modules is desired, a Female to Female Dupont cable can also be used.

After Later Audio are Lenny and Clarissa from Seattle. They build clones of popular Eurorack modules but also have a much more extensive repertoire of self-designed modules for Eurorack systems.
