UDO Audio Rnbc-1 — Interface for Connecting Your Rnb-1 Ribbon Controller to Your Eurorack System.
The RNBC1 is UDO Audio's bridge between their RBN-1 ribbon controller and the Eurorack world. This 6HP module transforms ribbon gestures into the voltages your modular system craves.
A large red Scale knob sets the voltage range - from subtle ±0.5V shifts to wide ±3V sweeps. Two simple switches define the response: Hold maintains values after release, while Absolute/Relative determines if movements start from zero or jump to position. The module distinguishes between single and dual touches, each with its own CV/gate output.
These two outputs enable bi-manual control - imagine controlling pitch with one hand while sweeping filter cutoff with the other. There's also an integrated live looper that can record your ribbon movements on the fly. One press on the module's rec button arms the recording which starts once the ribbon is pressed, and stops once released. Playback then begins automatically when you release — easy :) External triggers can restart loops, syncing your gestures with other events. There are clear LEDs to show exactly what's going on at each stage. Lastly there's a scale control to keep everything musical if need be. The RNBC-1 is an interesting way to add new forms of expressions to your modular system — the UDO way.

UDO was founded by Synth-designer George Hearn in 2018. Based in Bristol (UK) the company landed a big one with their exceptional Super 6 synth and continued to fascinate synth nerds with its successor, the Super Gemini.
