UDO Audio's RBN-1 is a sleek ribbon controller that brings smooth, expressive modulation to any device with an expression pedal input. This magnetic strip, initially known from UDO's Super Gemini synthesizer, gives you precise control over pitch bends and modulation.

The RBN-1's adaptive bend response lets you control pitch across several octaves, with the range depending on your initial note. Its highly responsive surface allows for anything from dramatic sweeps down to subtle vibratos. A nice sturdy magnetic mount keeps it firmly in place during performances, further ensured by the extra grip of its non-slip base.

A nice addition is that when it's used together with UDO synths you get "intelligent pitch expression", which in this instance means it only affects the notes you're currently playing, leaving sustained sounds and reverb tails untouched. However, important to note — the RBN-1 isn't limited to UDO instruments — it works with any device featuring an expression pedal input through its included 3.5mm TRS or 1/4" adapter.
