Tiptop Audio - Vortex 6 (ART)

- Order number: 251122
- Depth: 40
Tiptop Audio’s Vortex6 delivers authentic '80s digital synthesis through its six-voice polyphonic wavetable architecture inspired by the legendary PPG Wave 2.2.
Vortex6 features authentic vintage 8-bit converters that should faithfully reproduce the sonic-character of this classic from the ’80s. The module comes preloaded with an extensive wavetable collection with SD card support for loading your own. Performance features include integrated vibrato, glide, and dedicated wavetable-scrolling envelopes for each voice, all with CV control. Voice management is handled through the ART-in jack, distributing incoming notes to the appropriate outputs via individual 3.5mm jacks or Polytip connections. When combined with OCTOPUS, OCTOSTAGES, OCTOPASS, and OCTOGAIN modules using Polytip cables, you can create a complete six-voice polyphonic modular system. For alternative configurations, the Vortex6 works equally well with standard mono modules or can create rich paraphonic textures using up to 12 detuned oscillators through its voice mix output.
Features:
- True 8-bit vintage audio converters
- Built-in vibrato, glide and wavetable-scrolling envelopes
- User wavetable loading via SD card
- Integrated voice manager for polyphonic patching
- Up to 12 oscillators in detune mode
About ART:
- ART is a new control signal
- ART modules are Eurorack modules and use Eurorack signal levels for oscillator audio and gate/cv controls, same power connector, and are designed to blend into any Eurorack system.
- ART control has precise pitch information as well as performance data about the note (velocity, mod and pressure)
- The ART signal is high speed for near zero latency Building upon the potential of the new ART signal a new generation of modules

MANUAL
Originally based in California and now operating from Thailand, Tiptop has been around for over a decade, providing some of the first effects in eurorack (Z5000), a whole line of 808 and 909 drum modules, clever sequencers and affordable cases. Their Z-DSP is probably one of the best effect modules available, with countless exchangeable cards.
