Shakmat Bishop's Miscellany MK2 — Dual Channel CV/Gate Processor & Sequence Generator.
When users referred to the original Bishop's Miscellany as an "instant riff maker," Shakmat took those words to heart. The MK2 version expands upon that concept into something more capable while still keeping the workflow simple. This module combines three functions: a sequence recorder, a CV/Gate processor for adding slides and ratchets, and a (re)generative engine that creates new patterns or transforms existing ones.
Recording works with external CV/gate signals or internal algorithms. The Process section adds slides, ratchets, and gate variations that can be recorded as automation. The (Re)Gen algorithms handle everything from random generation to pattern slicing and rearrangement. Storage happens via SD card with a tracker-style playlist system for organizing sequences that can be recalled with ease.
Its workflow has a lot to offer — record a sequence, process it, generate variations, save the results, and arrange them into complete structures. The Bishop's Miscellany MK2 is a fantastic pattern generator and a compelling idea machine.
