The dizygote VCO from raw yaw media is a digital A-Side/B-Side oscillator that also includes a built-in envelope generator and can consequently also be seen as a small synthesizer voice.
Both "sides" use different sound generation techniques and produce different timbres. The a-side uses a square wave and frequency modulation, while the b-side distorts a sine wave with phase modulation. You can switch between the two "sides" manually or by CV, or play both simultaneously, which can create very interesting timbres.
Frequency modulation is provided by an internal modulation oscillator with controls over modulation frequency and modulation depth. Both can be controlled manually and by CV.
The internal envelope generator affects the overall amplitude of the signal. It has a trigger input and an envelope output, so it can be used with an external filter module, for example. The decision by raw yaw media to make the output envelope slightly narrower than the envelope used for amplitude modulation is a wise one. This way you can hear the characteristics of the filter better. Well done!
The output signal is stereo, so dizygote is the perfect partner for your favorite stereo filter.
