Random Works Modular miidii — MIDI-to-I²C Interface for Mannequins Just Friends
miidii lets you play Mannequins' Just Friends via MIDI, using either USB-C or TRS MIDI. Connected through I²C, it turns Just Friends into a polyphonic instrument or six independent mono voices, each controlled by its own MIDI channel. It's a simple way to bring keyboard playing and MIDI sequencing to this rather unusual module.
A three-position switch lets you choose between polyphonic and six-channel operation, or disable MIDI control altogether. A browser-based configuration tool handles MIDI settings, and there's also support for velocity, pitch bend and microtonal tuning. Definitely in the “quite-specific-utility” category, but a very useful one for Just Friends owners.
