Qu-Bit’s Bloom V2 — Three Lanes of 64-Step Fractal Sequencing That Keep Mutating Long After You Walk Away
Bloom v2 is a 3-channel CV/Gate/Mod sequencer that grows melodies the way ivy climbs brick: slowly, unpredictably, and with a mind of its own. Start with a simple 8-step loop — the "trunk of the tree" — hit Reseed, and watch it branch into a 64-step vine of notes, ratchets, trills and micro-slews.
What’s new since v1? Each lane now carries a third Mod output, so you can park a synced LFO on the filter while notes ping the oscillator and gates fire envelopes. A 3.5 mm TRS MIDI jack spits every lane out as note/CC data, and the companion Narwhal web editor lets you graft whole sequences on or off the module like digital cuttings.
In practice it’s a self-editing sequencer: feed it a clock, set the mutation range, and it will keep producing new variations of your original line—different pitches, gate lengths, ratchets and mod shapes—while never losing the scale or rhythmic grid you chose. Bloom doesn’t replace your ideas; it just keeps asking, “What if this leaf faced the sun instead?”
