Product information "Physical Synthesis - Cicada Foam Soundboard"
The Foam Soundboard from Physical Synthesis senses the vibrations and pressure on its surface and converts them into audio or control voltages, which it then passes on to the PRE Pro.
Each of the soundboards has its own sound characteristic due to the clever choice of surfaces. In addition, the surfaces of the soundboards are acoustically shielded from their casing to keep the influence of ambient noise as low as possible - so club use would definitely be possible with this. The EVA foam has a warm, low-pass filtered sound that can be combined very nicely with brass or string instruments.
The Cicada Foam Soundboard cannot be used independently as a standalone unit and needs further components!
