The Oberheim OB-X8 Desktop converts the keyboard version of the triple-classic (OB-X,OB-8 and OB-Xa) into a compact format.
In 2022, the legendary Oberheim-sound returned with the impressive OB-X8. As a joint project between Tom Oberheim and Marcus Ryle, and Dave Smith of Sequential, it went far beyond itself. Numerous improvements and contemporary functionality make the OB-X8 feel like a gift from synthesizer history for the synthesizer-here-and-now as well as it's future. The keyboard version has been upgraded in a positive sense and regrouped for the space-saving desktop version. The master, control and arpeggiator sections, which can be found on the left side of the keyboard version, have been clearly arranged above the other controls on the desktop version.
