Morphor VCO - An Analog Oscillator Based on the Trusty CEM3340-chip.
Sometimes you just need a reliable oscillator that does the basics really well. The Morphor VCO delivers exactly that—a clean, stable 3340-based voice. Yes, that is the chip that powered many classic polysynths during the analog era; The Prophet 5, Oberheim OB-Xa, Roland Jupiter 6 and even the Memorymoog. This module brings you the classic waveforms we all rely on: square, saw, triangle, and sine, each on dedicated outputs.
This oscillator delivers rock-solid tracking across the full range. It's got an FM input with its own attenuator which means you can dial in subtle vibrato or go into full audio-rate madness. The three-position octave switch is one of those simple features you might use more often than you think—no need for precision adders when you want to jump registers. Add in hard sync and PWM, and you've got everything needed for classic subtractive patches, sync leads, or PWM basslines.
Features:
- Classic 3340-based analog oscillator design
- Four simultaneous outputs: Square, Saw, Triangle, Sine
- Excellent tracking over full audio range
- 1V/Oct input plus attenuated FM control
- Three-position octave switch (+1/0/-1)
- Hard sync input
- Pulse Width Modulation with CV control
