Molten Modular - Molten Bypass

Molten Modular launches the Molten Bypass — Eurorack’s Long-Awaited FX-Bypass Button.

The Molten Bypass is a module designed to add bypass functionality to your effects modules. This is something more commonly found in guitar pedals but rare in modular setups. This unit is the result of a collaboration between Robin Vincent of Molten Music Technology and Befaco. The module creates an effects loop where you can insert your effects. With a press of the "Launch" button, your signal is sent through these effects, which can be either stereo or mono.

They’ve also included a hard/soft bypass switch: Hard immediately cuts off the effect, while Soft lets effects like reverb or delay fade out naturally. You can control the bypass using triggers or gates for dynamic changes. The FX Gain knob allows you to adjust the level of the returned signal to match the clean, unaffected audio. It also works as an insert, meaning all your signal is processed through the effects, and you adjust the wet/dry mix directly on the effects modules. Additionally, it can be used to create complex loops, act as a mute, or even as a tremolo effect. A simple, yet handy module that you don’t really come across much in the world of Eurorack otherwise. Perhaps not for everyone, but for those of you who have been looking for a quick way to launch your effects this unit might do the trick.
