The EKG is a versatile analog sequencer module with a funky voltage controllable halftime function and not less than eight selectable functions per step (pause, skip, up to 4x repeat, reverse, reset).
As the EKG sequencer lacks a clock generator you have to feed it with a +5V clock. A voltage above 2.5V or a gate signal at the "Tempo 1/2 In" slows down the tempo and the EKG is running at half speed and makes tempo variations possible. That's interesting when you use it with another sequencer that's synced to the EKG.
The range switch selects between two CV ranges. Illuminated faders are used to set the step CV. Use the STEP button to skip to the next step, that's handy to set the CV values.
The module has eight steps, each of them has a rotary switch for selecting one of eight states:
OFF: that's essentially a rest. The step is not played and no gate is sent out.
Modes 2-5: the step is played and gate sent out 1, 2, 3 or 4 times.
SKIP: the step is entirely omitted and EKG jumps to next step
REV: EKG switches to reverse mode and plays backwards until step 1
RESET: sequence jumps instantly to step 1. Use this to shorten sequence length.
