Making Sound Machines - Farb Highpass
- Order number: 230228
Making Sound Farb Highpass is an analog transistor ladder highpass filter for Eurorack based on a well-known model.
Within the new color (filter) palette of MSM a wide range of different coloring modules is available.
Farb Highpass is an optimized circuit of the well-known East-Coast model of old Moog modular systems and features CV-capable resonance on the feedback path.
The tonal variety of its classic design has been extended by the tilt EQ circuit at the input stage, which brings pleasantly coloring non-linearities to light. While the 12 o'clock position produces a neutral sound, the bass boost makes the signal rounder when turned to the left, while increasing brilliance is achieved when turned clockwise.Potis for tilt EQ as well as cutoff and resonance are available for "touching". Four patch points (In/Out and Cutoff/Resonance) complete the picture. For visual feedback of cutoff and resonance there are also two dedicated LEDs. If a CV signal is patched for cutoff, the cutoff knob turns into an offset knob, if the resonance CV is patched, the dedicated knob turns into an attenuator. Please be sure to check out the manual, which has some good patching tips.
Features:
- 24dB highpass filter with tilt EQ
- Analog transistor ladder design
- Extended sound palette compared to the classic East Coast circuitry
- Controls for cutoff and resonance
- Tilt EQ potentiometer
- CV control and LED feedback for cutoff and resonance
