Magerit - Kolora

Magerit Kolora is a complete synth voice with all the trimmings packed into its 42HP wide frame. Two oscillators — one analog, one digital — a self-oscillating 4-pole filter, two VCAs, two LFOs, an ADSR envelope, three noise generators, a step sequencer, an active mixer, and a handful of utilities. It is the kind of module that could anchor a small system on its own or serve as a solid foundation in a larger rack. You could think of this as a pretty complete starter kit — everything you need to get a sound going, shaped and sequenced, without reaching for a dozen separate modules.

The analog oscillator runs on the classic CEM3340 chip (Prophet-5, Jupiter-6, SH-101, Memorymoog to name a few…), with sine, triangle, saw and pulse outputs, PWM, switchable linear/exponential FM, hard sync, and a five-octave range selector. The digital side offers 16 selectable waveforms — and you can upload your own wavetables via USB. The filter is a 4-pole state-variable design with simultaneous low-pass, band-pass and high-pass outputs, CV over cutoff and resonance, and it self-oscillates, so you can play it as a third sound source with a V/Oct signal patched into the cutoff input. Three flavors of noise round out the sound sources: white, pink, and a clocked LFSR noise that has a bit of that old console character. The step sequencer runs up to 16 steps with external clock sync, and there's an active mixer with inverted and non-inverted outputs, a buffered multiple, and a boolean AND/OR logic mixer for good measure.
