The set of 4VCO and the GLITHc BOARD eXPENDR Expander is a very capable sound design tool from Liquid Sky D-Vices.
The 4VCO gives you that classic, aliased, 8bit wavetable sound, that goes so very well with analog filters Two true 8-bit wavetable voices, each with 16 banks of 16 waves. Both have a pulse sub-output and are tuning stable over eight octaves. Nice LoFi sound, as only 8-bit samplers can do! Things get exciting when you use one of the six audio outputs to modulate the frequency of the Main Osc. The FM input responds linearly to input signals and does everything from highly complex LFOs to overtone-rich soundscapes.
4VCO also has internal analog VCAs that can be overdriven, hard-sync, and CV inputs for shape and mix functions. This means you can cycle the wavetable shapes with modulations and also mix the two voices via CV.
Each of the two voices has the same six base banks plus ten individual banks.
The GLITHc BOARD eXPENDR expander greatly enhances the functions of 4VCO! Inspired by circuit bending, GLITHc BOARD eXPENDR lets you intervene in the routing of 4VCO. You have the possibility to choose different bitrates and three sequencers for selecting banks, waves and for wavetable modulation. Furthermore, there are four logic functions: AND, OR, NAND, NOR as well as multiples and MIDI with three (!) MIDI Thrus.
Yes, the expander is big. Maybe even the biggest expander there is. But the possibilities are only that much bigger and extend the potential of your whole modular system.
