Leaf Audio presents the Field Amp, a portable preamplifier for contact, hydro and geophones with up to 50x gain.

Known for its low noise, the Microphonic Soundbox preamplifier was the inspiration for the Field Amp, which delivers pristine clear sound. Optimized for mobile use of Hi-Z signals from contact microphones, hydrophones and geophones, the preamp is housed in a rugged yet compact enclosure. It has a 3.5 mm input, which allows up to 50x gain and also has volume controls for the preamp and two 3.5 mm outputs (0 dB- or- -12 dB). Both outputs can be connected directly to another portable field recorder if needed. Besides, Field Amp can also act as an impedance converter with a powerful output signal. The handy unit is portable and offers many mounting options. A carrying case is included, which also holds your contact microphones, batteries and cables.
