Intellijel Designs - Rubicon 2
- Order number: 180044
- Depth: 38
The Rubicon 2 is Intellijel's flagship analog oscillator and offers TZFM, tons of waveforms and wave warping!
Rubicon 2 is made to be played. The large form factor offers plenty of room to twiddle knobs and have fun.
A total of 9 audio outputs are available simultaneously, with 2 sub-oscillators and the fancy warp output. There is also thru-zero frequency modulation, linear and exponential FM, as well as sync, an FM index and pulse width modulation.
The many waveforms are one of the Rubicon 2's specialties. You get three different sine wave types, which you can select via a switch. The same applies to the pulse wave, which also has selectable types! In addition, the warp output lets you crossfade between this pulse wave and any wave (plugged into X), even with CV! The squish switch then lets you limit the resulting wave, giving it even more rough edges.
Another special feature of this oscillator is definitely the frequency modulation options. Linear and exponential FM, as well as TZFM with FM index, allow for a huge sound spectrum and literally beg for a second oscillator. The two sync modes allow for even more harmonics and have their very own charm.
Rubicon 2 is a real sound artist and a joy to experiment with. Whether it's wild finger movements or complex modulations - Rubicon 2 rewards everything you do with it!

Manual
Danjel van Tijn started in eurorack with the Mind Meld, an expander for the Livewire Vulcan Modulator. Seeing the potential of eurorack, Danjiel quit his day job at a big corporation and founded Intellijel, which rapidly become a mainstay in the modular, with collaborations with Canadian fellow engineers such as: Cylonix, David G. Nixon or AAS (known for their physical modelling plug-ins). By now Intellijel has one of the most extensive catalogs in eurorack.
