The Ringmod 1U from Intellijel provides a simple but effective ring modulation circuit for the 1U row in your Eurorack system.
This absolute classic among synthesis techniques was already used in the infamous Yamaha CS-80 and transports you directly back to the 80s.
Ringmodulation takes two waveforms - at Ringmod 1U inputs X and Y - and creates a new, third waveform from them, containing the sum and difference frequencies of the two inputs. The sound conveys inharmonic and metallic tones.
When the combined waves run in LFO rates you get very interesting and complex modulation shapes.
