Instruo - Neóni
- Order number: 210571
- Depth: 27
At first glance the Neóni is a traditional analogue oscillator, but the fader at the bottom and an T.Z.-labeled switch promise it to be more than that.
Neóni sets itself apart with it's Through-Zero FM functionality with AC and DC coupled operation that can be activated with the T.Z.- labeled switch and the aforementioned fader controls the nonlinear wavefolding. It additionally offers two sync modes, precision soft sync and directional hard sync and internal modulation routings, for highly flexible and interesting tonal FM sounds. Or set the Neóni to LFO mode and generate highly flexible CV signals for organic modulation signals.
The Through-Zero FM sets the Neómi apart from other Instruo Oscillators. It expands the tonal pallet of traditional FM, where an oscillator momentarily stalls as negative voltage pulls its frequency down to 0 Hz. Neóni inverts the polarity of its waveforms until positive voltage pulls it back through 0 Hz, which allows for complex waveforms with less non-harmonic sidebands.
