Expert Sleepers Disting NT — Multifunction Galore, The Beefiest Disting Yet!
What does this thing do you ask? More like, what doesn’t it do! The Expert Sleepers Disting NT is the latest evolution of their beloved Disting module series. The term “Swiss Army Knife” tends to get thrown around quite a bit, but in this case it makes perfect sense. The Disting series are known as multifunction modules. They sort of are what you want them to be. You load up an algorithm and - et voilà, you’ve got yourself a tiny sampler, an LFO, a granulator, a filter, or something else you never even knew existed before (a Kirbinator anyone?). To learn each and every algorithm might be a tad overkill for most — but, to learn a few and use them as handy utilities in a smaller performance rack for instance might just be what some people are after.
So, after listening to feedback from users over the years, Expert Sleepers have now rolled out the beefiest version to date. Beefier in terms of power, naturally, with a larger screen, faster processor, and more connectivity. It’s still a skiff-friendly fellow being just 25mm deep, but its width has grown to 22hp. It comes with a smorgasbord of 50 built-in algorithms for you to taste at your own pace, if you can stomach it. As if that isn’t enough, more algorithms will follow soon!
On the hardware side, it’s got 12 inputs and 6 outputs (plus an extra pair on the back), making it really flexible for routing audio or CV. You can switch between modular and line-level inputs easily, which is another nice touch. The USB-C port handles MIDI and audio, and it's plug-and-play for macOS, iOS, and Linux, with a simple driver available for Windows. To get a better grasp of everything that’s on offer here we urge you to rtfm :) See, said it before, saying it again - Swiss Army Knife!

MANUAL
Andrew Ostler (aka Oz) has gained a well-earned reputation not only with his do-it-all Disting module, but by providing a range of CV and audio signal converters that allow computers talk fluently to modulars, and vice versa.
