Solder a fat and classic kick drum yourself? The DIY kit from mki x es.EDU makes it possible!
Erica Synths and Moritz Klein have developed a series of educational DIY kits under the brand name mki x es.EDU with one specific goal in mind: to teach people with little-to-no prior experience how to design analog synthesizer circuits from scratch. What you’ll find in the box is not simply meant to be soldered together and then disappear in your rack. Instead, they want to take you through the circuit design process step by step, explaining every choice they’ve made and how it impacts the finished module.
The DIY Kit Kick Drum includes all the parts you need to build a kick drum module yourself. The sound of this module is based on the Roland classics and is a staple of electronic music. The accent input and CV control of pitch make it easy to create interesting rhythms. There is even a distortion stage that allows for harder kicks.
Please note: The do-it-yourself kit includes all the parts necessary to build this module. This is beginners kit, you need very few prior experience and basic hand tools (small screwdriver, soldering iron, etc.). We cannot assist with assembling/soldering the kit and take no responsibility if the kit does not work after self-assembly.
