Emute uSeq brings live coding to your Eurorack.
Time to geek out! This unusual hybrid digital/analogue module blends the worlds of live coding and modular synthesis to create something quite unique.
The main selling point of the uSEQ is its live-coding feature. You can alter its programming on the fly during performances, opening up an entirely new way to interact with your other modules. Alternatively, you can set it up for specific tasks and have it run automatically, your imagination really is the limit here…!
How to how? Pretty easy -> Hook up a computer via the USB port, load up the editor in your browser, and start playing. It’s also possible to run the editor offline locally. According to their GitHub page, it uses a simplified form of LISP language that should be quite accessible yet powerful at the same time.
Once you’ve grasped the basics of the coding language, the uSEQ can be used as a really flexible voltage generator and processor. This rather simple looking module features several CV inputs and outputs - how and what you do with them is up to you. With this simplified programming language tailored for music, you can program uSEQ to sequence beats, generate waveforms, or process existing sounds. Check out their webpage for examples and a crash course into how the language is written.
Definitely a unique module in our catalog — keep in mind that you’ll need to learn how to code this thing in order to take full advantage of it!
