With Le Ventre, Elaphon introduces an electroacoustic resonator that transforms electronic sound sources into a warm, full-bodied, and distinctly spatial sound.
Two individually controllable soundboards enable nuanced sound design: The front soundboard amplifies the pure sound of the strings, while the rear soundboard imparts the characteristic warmth of wood to the input signal.
Twelve freely tunable brass resonance strings expand the soundscape with a floating, musical reverberation. From chromatic tunings to custom scales, the resonance behavior can be precisely tailored, the concert pitch can also be varied between 415 and 465 Hz.
The body, handcrafted from high-quality solid woods, functions as a finely tuned, nonlinear membrane and ensures natural, omnidirectional sound radiation with a rich overtone spectrum. In this way, Le Ventre combines electronic sound generation with the organic qualities of an acoustic instrument.
Le Ventre delivers deep frequencies, warm timbres, and intuitive sound design - an exceptional tool for electroacoustic studios, sound installations, and experimental music.
