Doepfer A-138s Mini Stereo Mixer
- Order number: 170215
- Depth: 30
Simple, yet effective – The A-138s is a four-channel stereo mixer. Each signal path comes equipped with level and pan potentiometers. The inputs and outputs are DC coupled, meaning the module is not only suitable for audio material, but control voltages as well. Additionally, the A-138s can be employed as a signal splitter and to create feedbacks.
The A-138s offers four input channels. Signals can be attenuated and positioned in the stereo field. Results are emitted via two connectors (left / right). Feedbacks with adjustable intensity can be produced by routing signals from one output back to an input. Furthermore, it is possible to use the module as a signal splitter. Thanks to DC coupled inputs and outputs, the A-138s is not only usable for mixing audio material, but for summing up control voltages as well.

A-138s @Doepfer
WIth a long trajectory building synths, MIDI keyboards and designing bespoke devices for music pioneers Kraftwerk, Dieter Doepfer decided to design his own modular synthesizer in 1995 based on existing electrical and mechanical specifications of lab equipment he used during his years at university. The official presentation of the system at 1996 Frankfurt Musikmesse caught everyone by surprise and created lots of interest. After Doepfer published the specifications on his website, many instrument designers and engineers saw the potential of the new Eurorack format. Doepfer continues expanding their catalog of over 200 modules (and counting), operating from their modest offices in the outskirts of Munich.
